Mediation is a confidential process used in most litigation, including family law matters, where the parties try to reach an agreement outside of Court with the use of a trained mediator. Our attorneys have attended hundreds of meditations over their careers and understand how to advocate for their clients to achieve the best possible result. Michelle Agostino Cox is registered with the State of Indiana as a Domestic Relations Mediator and helps many cases reach settlements by using her extensive family law experience, and mediaton training, including executive training through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
Michelle offers large, private conference rooms in a confidential setting. If you prefer, she will come to your attorney’s office for the mediation. Michelle draws from her lengthy career and in-depth knowledge of Indiana family laws, to evaluate and help settle your case, for a fraction of the cost of a contested trial. She mediates divorces, paternity, child support and child custody cases.
The mediation service is offered on a flat fee basis so there are no surprises when it comes to the cost for the day. You or your attorney may reserve a half day, or all day on her calendar. Lower income individuals may receive a reduced flat fee rate, as agreed upon before the day of mediation. Please ask about reduced fee rates if you earn less than $26,000.00 a year.
